We generally collect personal information directly from you, for example when you complete a form on our website, send us an email, attend a meeting or engage us for services. We may also collect information from third parties you have authorised to deal with us on your behalf (such as a referrer, accountant or colleague), and automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you browse our website.

Where permitted by law, we may use your contact details to send you updates about our services, insights or offers that we believe may be relevant to your organisation. Every marketing communication will include a simple way to opt out, and you may also opt out at any time by emailing ceo@hyphapeople.online. Where we disclose personal information to service providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure those parties handle the information in accordance with the APPs, including through confidentiality obligations and contractual terms.
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of the technology providers we use may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where personal information is likely to be disclosed to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient does not breach the APPs or is bound by substantially similar obligations under a contract or an applicable privacy scheme.
8. Cookies and website analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure site traffic and improve usability. You can usually disable cookies through your browser settings; some features of the website may not function properly if you do so. Analytics data is used in aggregate wherever practicable and is not used to identify individual visitors unless necessary for security purposes.
9. Data quality, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we collect is accurate, complete and up to date at the time of use. We hold personal information on secure systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including through access controls and password protection.
We retain personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and business record-keeping obligations). When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or ensure it is de-identified.
10. Access to and correction of your personal information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and request correction of information that you consider inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, email ceo@hyphapeople.online. We will respond within a reasonable period and, in most cases, at no cost to you. 11. Anonymity and pseudonymity
Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym, for example when making a general enquiry. However, we will usually need your real identity and contact details to provide services, respond substantively, or issue invoices and quotes.
